A indian hand made classic pattern rug |
I bought a rug at ABC Carpet in Manhattan,
while it was on sale for 30% off.
I wanted a Belgian rug made of pure wool,
and machine made that I bought it
17 years ago at ABC carpet, which was discounted to $900.
It's still as beautiful as new after 17 years.
But the Belgian rug manufactures couldn't survive,
and there are no more Belgian rugs in this world.
So, I bought a hand made Indian rug (6 x 8') for about $2000.
The original price was $3000, but they gave us a 10% discount....
with 2 additional non-skid under rug for $120.
Usually one costs $90, but they were discounted as well.
The carpet is a beautiful blue/green shade with a classic pattern.
I love this rug very much and I laid it out in my living room,
replacing the old Belgian rug.
My 17 year old daughter moved the old Belgian rug to her room
because she is too fashionable and enjoys decorating her room.
She wanted a green rug, then a black rug...
then a white long stringed rug from... Ikea.
What a waste of money.
They are not last long and get tired soon.
It's better to buy a classic pure wool rug,
because it will last a life time and will never become boring.
Anyway, all her rugs have been placed in my studio
and I am working comfortably and warmly.
Thanks to my VERY fashionable 17 year old decorator.
(Dear mother, I hate you- 17 year old daughter)
